Terms of Service

Welcome to OneCircle. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and OneCircle ("OneCircle", "we", "us", or "our") and govern your use of the OneCircle mobile app and related services (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully — they are meant to be plain and readable, not full of fine print.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using OneCircle, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

OneCircle is built for college students in India. To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (and old enough to form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction; if you are under 18, you should have your parent's or guardian's permission);
• Be a current college student or otherwise part of a college community we serve;
• Not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law, and not previously have been suspended or removed by us.

2. Your account

To use most features you'll need an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information when you sign up, and keep it up to date;
• Keep your login credentials secure — you are responsible for everything that happens under your account;
• Maintain one account per person. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred;
• Tell us promptly at adhilshamsuu@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Community rules & acceptable use

OneCircle only works if it stays a safe, respectful campus space. You agree not to use the Service to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone;
• Post or promote hate speech, or content that attacks people based on caste, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, ethnicity, or similar protected characteristics;
• Share content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, violent, or that incites harm;
• Post spam, scams, misleading promotions, or repetitive unwanted content;
• Impersonate any person, club, college, or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation;
• Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• Scrape, crawl, harvest data, or use bots or automated means to access the Service without our written permission;
• Attempt to break, probe, or circumvent the security of the Service, or interfere with its normal operation.

You are solely responsible for the content you post and the way you behave on OneCircle.

4. Content moderation, reporting & blocking

To keep the community healthy, we use a mix of automated (AI-assisted) and manual moderation to detect content that may break these rules. We may, at our discretion and where reasonable:

• Remove, hide, or limit the reach of content that violates these Terms or applicable law;
• Warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously break the rules.

You can help: use the in-app tools to report content or users you believe violate these Terms, and to blockpeople you don't want to interact with. We review reports and act on them as we see fit.

5. Your content and the licence you give us

You own the content you create — your posts, reels, photos, comments, and messages. We don't claim ownership of it.

To run the Service, we need permission to handle that content. So, by posting on OneCircle, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing or generating thumbnails), and display your content within the app, solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and the people you share with. This licence ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies that are technically necessary in backups for a reasonable period, or that other users have already saved or reshared.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you post and that it does not violate anyone else's rights.

6. Clubs and club leaders

If you create or manage a club, page, or community on OneCircle, you are responsible for the content posted under it and for following these Terms. Club leaders should post accurate information about events and activities, not misrepresent their affiliation with any college or organisation, and respect the community rules in Section 3. We may remove clubs or revoke leader access for violations.

7. Termination

You can leave any time. You may stop using OneCircle and permanently delete your account from within the app, or via our account deletion page.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted to other users, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will continue to apply.

8. Disclaimers

OneCircle is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep the Service useful and reliable, we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of content posted by other users. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OneCircle and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OneCircle and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the courts located in India will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when we add features or to reflect legal changes. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. By continuing to use OneCircle after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact us
